Parts, not pictures of parts
Oriforma is a parametric CAD tool for people who make physical things and do not want to learn a scripting language or buy a seat licence to do it.
Most free modeling tools give you a mesh: a frozen surface that cannot be edited once it leaves the program. Most parametric tools expect you to write code or to sit through CAD training. Oriforma keeps the parametric discipline and drops the barriers: you connect nodes, the graph is the model, and the viewport updates as you change a number.
The result goes two ways. Makers export a watertight STL and print it on whatever printer and slicer they already have. Small shops export an analytic STEP, with true cylinders and planes rather than facets, and send it to a machine shop or into their own CAM.
How it works
Open the editor in your browser, connect shapes and operations, and adjust their dimensions while you preview the result in 3D. Save your model to keep working on it later, or share it with the community so others can use and adapt it.
When you are ready to make the part, export an STL for 3D printing or, for supported models, a STEP file for further CAD work and manufacturing.
